Launch of the Russian translation of the Live School
at the President hotel in Kiev, Ukraine.

The Russian Translation of the Live School was launched at a gala event in the President Hotel in Kiev, the capital of the Ukraine on Tuesday evening, 5 September 2006. More than 130 senior church leaders from the Ukraine and further a-field as well as 28 church leaders from South Africa attended the event.

Hennie Van Loggerernberg, Director of World Mission Centre in the Ukraine, welcomed the guests that attended.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Gunnar Olson, founder of the International Christian Chamber of Commerce, encouraged the attendees to see the Live School as "a most important tool to complete the task of reaching the last of the unreached people with the gospel of Jesus Christ."

Willie Crew, Founder & International Director of the World Mission Centre, recounted the history of the Live School and challenged the guests to stand in faith that God would enable them to establish 1,000 Live Schools across the 15 countries of the Former Soviet Union and through these schools to train 100,000 short-term missionaries in the next ten years.

During the evening Lydia Crew presented a token of appreciation to Yana Tsitsirwa in recognition of the translation work done by LEPTA, the company that translated the Live School. Others that were honored were the editing director of LEPTA, the printing company, and the World Mission Centre office in the Ukraine.
A businessman from South Africa,

Leon Rossouw, used the opportunity to encourage the guests to involve their business contacts in the roll out of the Live School. His theme was "God needs your obedience more than your money or talents."
Senior team members of World Mission Centre and church leaders from South Africa symbolically handed the Russian Live School to leaders from the church in the Ukraine.
Prominent church leaders of the Ukraine: the Bishops of the Registered and Unregistered Pentecostal Unions,

senior pastors of local churches, the Director of CBN in the CIS, and the Director of the Ukraine Bible Society, received the Live School.
In his prayer of acceptance, Bishop Mighael Panotshko of the Registered Pentecostal Union of the Ukraine asked the Lord to bless the efforts of the church leaders of the Former Soviet Union as they plan to expand/spread the Live School across the region.

After the symbolic hand-over, Gunnar Olson and the South African leaders prayed a prayer in which they asked the Lord to supernaturally release the Live School and to cause it to spread quickly across the region.
After the launch everyone was invited to enjoy refreshments and fellowship. During this time many important connections were made. Among these was a possible partnership between the Live School and the Ukraine Bible Society.
