Strategic planning session held in Kiev to roll-out the Live School
in the Former Soviet Union.

The strategic planning session was attended by close to 112 leaders from the region. In addition, 28 South African church leaders that had been involved in the Ukraine over the last 12 years attended.
The meetings were started with worship in the mornings. During the day, time was given to bring various aspects of the Live School to the Lord in prayer.
Willie Crew led the strategic planning sessions. He encouraged those that attended to discern the desperate time that we find ourselves in.
Gunnar Olson, Founder of the International Christian Chamber of Commerce, spoke with passion about the Live School saying it could be one of the most significant tools

to help the church complete the task of reaching the last of the unreached people groups in the world.
Eddie Robinson, International Operations Director of WMC, presented How to Start a Live School, while Pieter Vermeulen presented the Live School curriculum.

Jean Luis, Coordinator of WMC in the southern African region, reported how the Live School is being established in the African region and how it is helping pastors to start many new churches.
Hennie Van Loggerernberg, Coordinator of WMC in the CIS, challenged the guests to take bold steps to roll out the Live School in their areas.
Pastor Gerrit Barnard from Cape Town, South Africa testified how the Live School has transformed the thinking of many of the members in his local church.
King-Fisher, a mobilizing ministry led by Johan Theron, and the World Mission Centre have formed a partnership in the CIS.

Johan spent time discussing how to mobilize a local church to the task of missions, and he offered to assist any church that wanted to start a Live School if it was not already involved in mission work. Pastor Gabarov from Ternobyl in the Ukraine shared his testimony of how the Lord had changed his church since being involved in missions.
During the break-out sessions the participants were encouraged to ask questions and to give feedback on any obstacles that they could foresee

in rolling out the Live School.
At the end of the day, everyone was asked to complete a questionnaire giving them an opportunity to commit to starting a Live School. Of those that responded, 29 wanted to start a school in the next few months.
The first formal facilitator's training has been scheduled for mid November, 2006. This will be held at the church of Pastor Victor Nesterenko from Dneprodzerzink's.
