The Global Day of Prayer in Columbia is a process of unified action by the body of Christ for the transformation of our city, state, nation and even the world. It is a process because in order to build a house, one must first build a strong foundation. We are laying a foundation of repentance and prayer so that as we pursue the advancement of God's kingdom in Greater Columbia, we will have a strong foundation on which to stand. It is a unified action because we believe there is only one church in Columbia with Jesus Christ as the head. It is for the purpose of transformation because we believe God will work through the church united in prayer to transform the social, economic and spiritual realities of our city. Our vision is that Greater Columbia will reflect the words of the Lord recorded by Jeremiah, "Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it" (Jer. 33:9).
