Gospel meeting at Rapla

It took 3 days for us to walk to reach Rapla in western Nepal,we started our journey on 27th January 2010 at 6:30 A.m. and reach Darchula(Northern Uttarakhand,India).The next day we cross the border and entered Nepal,after we trek for almost 10 hours it was already Dark 6:30 pm we reach Daulagot village,amazingly the Nepal police hosted us for the night in the police camp(other times the Police Post use to be a big hindrance, restricts free movement as its Indo-Tibet border due to security reason )before we retire to bed as we started to share and sing Gospel songs in Nepali to the policemen in the camp,One Constable Lal bahadur and the woman who cook the dinner for us were moved by the Holy spirit with tears in their eyes. Next day early morning we resume our journey and reach Rapla around 7 p.m. at Night. as we enter the Village the devil show up and threaten us, in the dark Daniel one of the student shouted i have been beaten by a snake ! he said pain was spreading all over his left hand and so we tied his bleeding finger with a rope and hurried towards the village, we quickly open the wound with a pin and let some blood flow and later as we investigate, it was not a snake bite but pierce his finger on a thorny bush.

Beyond the conference, we had all our regional office directors and their wives together for a few days of re­port back, planning and praying. It turned out to be one of the most significant meetings we have ever had in the organization. The Lord truly spoke to us and gave us direction for the future. One word that stayed with me was “Do not do business as usual”. We sense the Lord urging us to do things differently being lead by His Spirit. “Follow where God’s Spirit is moving”.

Another big highlight was the launch of the new Live School look and feel.

Again, we thank our Swedish brothers and sisters who work long hours to organize this special event. We truly believe that we will look back at this meeting one day and recognize that God set us onto a new path. The Lord bless you for what you have done through your servant hood.

Our first contact Khrishna arranged for us to stay in the House of a widow. On the first day we rested and prayer walk the entire village binding the enemy in the spiritual realm.The second day we invited the entire villagers to the open field for the gospel meeting and as we minister, to our amazement the first person to be touch by the Holy spirit was the drunker Man who for the last 2 nights came and interrupt disturbing in our time of praise and worship in our room.The gospel meeting was followed by Medical health camp.The rapla villagers were mostly touched by the love and care we show to them,they responded the next day evening by inviting us for a special Dinner at house of the Leader of the village by the Women folk.The dinner was followed by singing to us Nepali cultural songs and dance as sign of welcoming us and as a token of appreciation we gave some money to the Women folk yet they refused to take saying if they receive the Money where is the love they show towards us. The Third day we went to the Tusharapani village a day walk to share the gospel and as we took our guitar and started to sing Gospel songs in Nepali the whole village gathered, it was such an open opportunity to share the gospel to the hungry souls. To the glory of God one women with asthma was healed, in the evening we returned back to Rapla and on the 4th final day we had the second time of gospel Meeting followed by Health Camp.The drunker Man turn up without drinking and keep quietly listening to the gospel messages even on the final day.

Medical Camp

On the 5th Day(3rd Feb) as we were ready to leave we hold our hands together along with the host Widow and pray,as we finish she weep and told,she will miss us all and told us to stay in her house next time if we come again,as we left the village, young and old all came out of their houses to greet us telling us come back again.we walk the whole day via a short cut path to reach the nearest Motor road crossing a river,as we climb up through a stiff passage to reach the Motor road we encountered the second attack of the enemy Satan.A Hindu drunk man was teasing sister Pramila with words on the half way as we left her alone looking after the bags while the other brothers were transporting the other bags. On the arrival of the brothers the man started to abuse saying are you all Christians ?what do you all gain by taking all those trouble preaching the gospel,look at all the sinners they are all living a comfortable life.Tell me where did Jesus came from ? the Hindu man ask to the brothers.And our brothers replied back to him you tell us first,the Hindu man replied Jesus came from South Africa.We concluded that even the devil knows about us that we are from Live school having connection with friends from South Africa.This also shows that we really meant business with him.The Taxi could drop us only half way to the nearest Town as there was a repairing of road going on blasting massive stones with dynamite. It was already dark when we crossed the blast side and another 7kms we have to walk to catch the Taxi.Unfortunately one of our brother was no more able walk due to diarrhea. Two of our brothers carried the ill brother in their shoulders and walk while the rest march ahead fast to get some energy food and get a Taxi,however sister Pramila got loss half way in between again and as we pass through a lonely place hearing only the roaring sound of the Mahagali river echoing through the stiff rocky mountains she got very scared in the dark and we suddenly heard a voice screaming, found that it was our dear sister alone in the dark. We quickly run back like horses towards our sister and consoled her .”even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Death, I fear no evil, for you are with me; Psalms 23:4 we were able to reach our destination without any harm inspire all the incidents God’s almighty presence was with us and brought us safely to our Hotel Room at Darchula. 5th February 11, 2010 we safely reach home at Sattal.
