For Such a Time as This

God has placed us where we are for a unique purpose.

While in Armenia the Lord told me that He wanted to do something special in the Ukraine. I found myself praying these words, “Breath on them, Lord, so that they can speak.”

The same day the Lord led me to Ezekiel 37:9-10. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. (ASV)

Then the Lord gave me a word. He said “Turn your eyes to the driest places – for there – I will show my glory first.” Since that time, I have a dream to see the Ukraine and the surrounding countries of the Former Soviet Union walk in God’s destiny and calling.

I have a passion for this church because I believe in her calling. These nations are destined to do great things in the Kingdom of God. I believe in the national leadership because they have the make-up and courage to stand in times of great challenge. I believe in the people because they are able to rise up and join the vast mission force that will saturate the nations with His love.

This word and my firm conviction have led the Live School team, in the former Soviet Union, to plan a retreat where partners and students and pastors and leaders will gather to inquire of the Lord the strategy for the next phase in the Live School development. The retreat will take place from 18 – 24 February 2010 and will be called, IT IS TIME.

• That the Lord will give us wisdom and discernment to hear what He says.
• That the Lord will give all the participants the resolve to do the very thing He says.
• For the travel and housing arrangements of all those that will participate
• That the Lord will give everyone grace and an expectancy to hear from God.

All of us have been placed in positions for such a time as this. Whether employed or unemployed, demoted or promoted, God has placed us where we are for a unique purpose.

Turn your eyes to the driest places for there – I will pour out my Glory.
