Touching lives, changing people !!!

True to the Live School motto one of the Live Schools is making a significant impact on the Lives of one the nomadic people groups in East Africa.

The community shares a lot of similarities with their Somali counterparts, found in one of the Northern Frontier Districts; the Rendille live a very quiet life in the desert region. A quietness that is often disturbed only by the more powerful people groups like Oromo and Somali. Quite as it could be, their life is altogether hard and difficult, a condition that is made worse by the unfriendly elements; from the scorching sun to the scarce and unreliable rainfall in the area.

They traditionally have a very firm moral law based on the belief of one

God- the creator and provider who answers prayers. Embedded in the cultural character are ritual which identify more with the Hebraic covenant mind of blood covenantPicture (3)

It is in this area that the wilful obedience of one of the Live Schools led the students to serve the community in a more practical way. Beyond spiritual input in the lives of the people, the studePicture(1)nts served in love putting a smile on the faces of the locals.

The School has adapted agriculture as one of the meaningful ways of affecting some of the arid regions. Their desire and drive is to unveil the heart of God to the people amongst whom they serve that they may come to a knowledge of God. All to the glory of God.

We rejoice at their labour and share in their victory as they lay their lives down for Him with a prayer that many more people will develop a heart for people and a willingness to serve.

To God be the glory
