Live School takes the first step into the populous country of India!
A Live School training team from South Africa and the USA traveled to India to train the first Live School facilitators.
The project came about when Live School was approached to assist with the training of church planters and missionaries to help with the follow-up of the "My Hope India" campaign that was run by the Billy Graeme Association during 2005/2006.
34 leaders from various centers in India were invited to attend the training in the city of Hyderabad. After five days of training 18 of the leaders were selected to each start a school in English in their respective cities or towns.
Most of the remaining leaders do not have enough potential English-speaking candidates in their area to justify starting a school now. They are anxiously waiting for the LS to be translated into one of the Indian languages after which they will also start schools.
The facilitators have returned home to recruit students for their first intake in June/July this year. Lord willing these candidates will complete the classroom phase by December after which they will be sent to plant churches in unreached villages and suburbs.
Please pray for the Live School in India!
- That the Lord will open all the doors for the facilitators to secure the best place to run their schools.
- That they be successful in recruiting quality students.
- That the Lord will open the correct doors for the LS development department to find the most suitable partner to help with the translation into Hindi.
- That the Lord will release the money to pay for the translation costs.
God is indeed doing a new and fast work! You are as much part of it as we are.

Lets believe that India will come to Christ in a significant way!
