From the Live School offices in Pretoria, we share in the same sentiments with the Apostle Paul in his epistle to the Philippians. We have witnessed a lot of progress, and we know it is due to the faithful partnership we share with people like you. Thank you for choosing this road with us as we seek the extension of the Kingdom of God.
Soon we will be in April and the first quarter of 2009 will be History, but what God has done will be an everlasting testimony for many generations to come and through the lives that have been transformed for which your participation has been very instrumental.
Live School Roll Out Process
In 2008, 33 schools were rolled out in South Africa, Swaziland, Liberia, Botswana and Zambia. Most of these Schools are set to start in 2009 with some having started while others are in the process of starting. A total of 180 students graduated from 21 Schools in 2008 from various Schools in Southern Africa.
Graduation of these students was a very significant addition to the Church planting efforts in various parts of Southern Africa where a number of Churches have been planted by the Live School students.
Locked in the middle of a political and economic upheaval that saw a country experience the worst inflation rate ever, Zimbabwe Schools had a lesson to teach us through the Live School. The trainees built their own facility, dug their own bore hole and planted their own kitchen garden that in turn served their communities. They touched lives through absolute dedication in the middle of a crisis and when we attended a graduation ceremony in Gweru, we were elated to see how much the graduates had impacted their community.

2009 Roll Out
We have just concluded a Facilitators’ training with 15 pastors and leaders in attendance from which 6 new Schools will be started. We are in the process of finalizing preparations for a Facilitators training in Zimbabwe in the April from 13TH -17th, 2009. Alongside this is a short term mission exposure trip where we hope to have more Churches in South Africa become active participants in Cross border Missions. From one of the Schools in Soweto-South Africa, we got the following testimony from one of the trainees, we hope it will be an encouragement for you that your labour is not in vain.
"GONTSE WINNIE MAS-HIKE
LIVE SCHOOL
LIVE SCHOOL STARTED WITH US HAVING THE IDEA THAT WE WOULD ONLY RECEIVE THEOLOGICAL LESSONS, TO OUR SURPRISE WE REALISED THAT GOD IS NOT JUST INTERESTED IN THEOLOGY BUT IN US AS WELL. WE BEGAN WITH “MY LIFE STORY”. ITS PURPOSE WAS FOR US TO DISCOVER THE NEGATIVE THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN OUR LIVES THAT CAUSE US TO HAVE NEGATIVE IMPRESSIONS ON CERTAIN SITUATIONS. THE MAIN AIM WAS FOR US TO REACH A STAGE WHERE WE DEAL WITH AND EVENTUALLY OVERCOME THEM. NOT ONLY DID WE DEAL WITH OUR PERSONAL ISSUES BUT AS OTHERS OPENED UP WE REMOVED THE WHITE WASH AND WE BEGAN TO SEE EACH OTHER THE WAY GOD SEES US. WE ALSO REALISED THAT GOD WANTS US TO LIVE ACCORDING TO HIS WORD.
GOD MADE US REALISE THAT BEFORE WE COULD TEACH OTHERS ABOUT HIM, HE FIRST HAD TO MOULD US INTO WHAT HE IS, FOR US TO HAVE HIS QUALITIES. HE TAUGHT US AND MOULDED US IN ORDER THAT THE LOVE HE HAS FOR US, THAT CAUSES HIM TO CONTINUOUSLY MOULD US, SHOULD BE FORMED WITHIN US. HE MADE US REALISE THAT MOST OF THE REBELLION AND REJECTIONS THAT WE TAKE TO HEART ARE CAUSED BY A LOVE DEFFECIENCY DISORDER. HE KNOWS THAT WE WANT TO BE LOVED. HE MADE US REALISE THAT BEFORE WE CAN SAY WE LOVE THE”UN REACHED” WE NEED TO HAVE LOVE FOR OURSELVES. HE IS INTERESTED IN OUR WELL BEING, OUR HAPPINESS AND PEACE OF MIND. HE WANTS TO HELP US FIX OUR PAST SO THAT WE MAY HAVE A CLEAR PICTURE (THAT IS ACCORDING TO HIS WILL) OF OUR FUTURE…
HE IS INTERESTED IN EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIVES, THE WAY WE LIVE OUR LIVES (PLUMBLINE), OUR FINANCES (KINGDOM ECONOMICS) AND OUR COMMUNICATION WITH HIM (INTERCESSION) JUST TO NAME A FEW. HE INTRODUCED US TO A NEW LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING e.g. GUNNAR OLSEN. HE TAUGHT US ABOUT FULL DEPENDANCE ON GOD. LIVING IN COMPLETE FAITH OF WHAT GOD HAS FOR US, LIVING IN TOTAL SACRIFICE BECAUSE WHEN WE SACRIFICE HE REVEALS MORE OF HIMSELF IN EVERY THING THAT WE DO. GOD WANTS TO USE US IN EXTRAORDINARY WAYS. HE GIVES US PERSONAL EXPERIANCES AND IT’S JUST WONDERFUL TO SHARE IN OTHER PEOPLE’S EXPERIANCES.
AS BELEIVERS WE SETTLE FOR LESS AND GOD WANTS GREAT THINGS FOR US. I AM TRULY GREATFUL THAT WE HAD AND STILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY OF LEARNING, OF BEING SHAPED, MOULDED AND TAUGHT FOR THE BENFIT OF GOD’S CHILDREN. IT’S NOT A MISTAKE THAT WE HAVE STARTED AND ARE CONTINUING THESE LIFE SUSTAINING LESSONS. IT IS A PRIVILLEDGE BECAUSE IT TESTIFIES TO THE FACT THAT WE ARE CHOSEN. WE ARE NUMBERED WITH THE GREAT AND WILL SHARE IN JESUS’ GLORY.
*ALTHOUGH WE HAVEN’T FINISHED OUR LESSONS, I KNOW THAT WE ARE YET TO FEED FROM THE PALM OF OUR MASTERS HAND, THROUGH HIS CHILDREN THAT HE HAS APPOINTED FOR THIS SEASON.
