A very fruitful quarter

Dear friends,

we trust that you are doing well and are victorious during this very busy season.  I'm sure you are also looking forward to the summer, a break and things to slow down a little.

Here at Live School so much has happened and lies ahead.  We are just over a month away from the Global Day of Prayer here in Columbia which takes place on April 29th.  If you are in the area, please join thousands of other believers to pray for our city at 3pm at Columbia Metropolitan Convention Centre.

Some of the highlights this year are as follows.  Live School launched in The Gambia with 13 schools and Sierra Leone is also opening up.  Our International Regional Leaders recently met to discuss plans for 2012 and goals at starting 384 schools this year!  If God gave us the grace to achieve this, it would mean doubling the number of schools in world this year.  I want to highlight 2 people who are doing a great job in 2 very different parts of the world.

Eddie(2)Vitali is a facilitator in Ukraine.  He has been running his Live School out of a church since 2007.  He has had 6 classes and trained a total of 71 students.  What is remarkable is that most of his students came from drug rehabilitation centres after they became believers.  Today many of his graduates planted churches in Ukraine and Russia and 50% of them are still in ministry!  Praise God for the awesome work He is doing through this faithful servant.  Consider this.  There are 191 Live Schools in the Russian speaking world and they are planning to start 155 this year alone.  Imagine how many people are being reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ed van Lierop lives in South Carolina and has been a volunteer with Live School for about 4 years now.  He travelled to Guyana with Eddie on a few occasions and became more and more familiar with the people and the process down there.  All this time was preparation for playing a greater part in rolling out Live School in that region.  About 4 weeks ago, Ed travelled to Guyana alone to train facilitators for new schools.  He endured much hardship as the tropical rain and heat battered him, but praise God, he came back with a good report.  3 Live Schools are set to start as a result of his trip.  Ed is an example of what a willing person can do for the Lord.

Folks, as you can see, God is moving through people.  The Gospel is spreading because of willing and obedient servants stepping up.  Please pray for us as we endeavor to roll out 384 new schools this year.  It is an impossibility for us, but with God, all things are possible!

We appreciate you.

Blessings
